I am retired and for as I can remember have always been involved with helping my community.
My wife and I are registered Foster Carers specializing in looking after new born with their mothers.
In 2005-06 we trained with EA Ambulance Trust as Community First Responders responding to 999 calls around South Lowestoft.
I am a founder member of Rosedale Patient Group and Chairman for 14 years. Kirkley Mill has recently joined with Rosedale. Also a member of the Patient Advisory Group.
During the lockdown I volunteered with Community Action Suffolk to identify local carers and distribute 800 donated free face visors.
My telephone number regularly appeared in the Journal as a contact for anyone needing support.
The church yard at St Peter and St John looked quite dull and the people forgotten so I planted a handful of spring bulbs by every grave to make it more colourful.
I helped behind the scenes to prepare the village hall for My Pantry, Kirkley, and regularly help when it is open.
I have also founded a Youth Club and was mentor for County youth leaders for many years.
When younger I also was a qualified FA senior referee and FA coach working with children for the FA and NCFC.
For 10 years I helped organize the local carnival lincluding fund raising and was secretary for 2 of these years.
Member of the Waveney Inter Faith Group and of the Parochial Church Council for St P & J Kirkley.
