Paul was born in Ipswich and has lived to the East of the town all his life. Married for 16 years and with a 13-year-old daughter, he started his working life in Insurance Claims where he worked for around just under 30 years.
After a short career break, he moved into the Charity Sector with local Charity Tools with a Mission initially in administration but now as Volunteer Coordinator where he is closely involved with the recruitment of the many volunteers TWAM needs.
During the first lockdown Paul was furloughed and used the time to set up a community group doing shopping and prescription collection for shielding residents. Due to demand and the clear need for community engagement Paul led others to set up IP3 Good Neighbours which has just set up a pop-up shop and started monthly community litter picks. The group has many plans and is currently embarking on the process of becoming a Charity.
Politically Paul was initially a swing supporter between the Lib Dems and Labour but the Jeremy Corbyn period together with the vote to leave the EU made it clear that only the Lib Dems have the policies to support communities and help those of all Social strata which Paul so closely aligns to.
An executive member of Ipswich Liberal Democrats in the role of Fundraising Officer Paul has stood for Borough Election in the past and this year is standing for both Borough and County Seats.
Outside of politics Paul is School Governor of a local primary school and enjoys reading and tracing his family History.
