Why we need your help
The Liberal Democrats rely on small donations from individuals like you. We've never had the big business or trade union cash the other parties can count on, especially at a local level.
You can help us achieve the changes we all care about by standing for election, helping us publish and distributing leaflets, canvassing voters subject to covid-19 restrictions, adverising our messages on social media or making phone calls to voters. These means of communication especially at this time are expensive, so you can also help us by making a donation.Your donation will help Suffolk Liberal Democrats to undertake activities such as running this website, printing and posting campaign leaflets and social media campaigning in forthcoming elections.

Even if this is a one-off donation, we accept donations by Direct Debit. Donating is a simple online process and there are no forms to sign. Fees are lower which means more of your money goes where it's needed. Your payment is protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee.
With a one of the biggest set of elections outside the GE imminent and following a costly General, local and European elections we urgently need your help.

GoCardless will ask for your bank account details, Currently we have not yet signed up to PayPal but if you woukd prefer to write a cheque or complete a BACS transfer, contact us for the details. By making a donation you confirm that you are eligible to make political donations in the UK (i.e. you are on the electoral register), and that this donation is not made for or on behalf of any other person.
Donations to political parties, including sponsorship, are regulated by the Political Parties Elections and Referendums Act 2000.
The Liberal Democrats can only accept donations from permissible donors*. If you make donations to the Liberal Democrats totalling more than £1,500 in any quarter, we are required to report them to the Electoral Commission, who will publish the fact that you have donated to us. The name and address of the donor and the amount of the donation will be published on the Electoral Commission website. Addresses of individuals are not published.

* permissable donors means: individuals on a UK electoral register, UK Trade Unions, companies incorporated within the EU and registered and trading in the UK, Limited Liability Partnerships, UK unincorporated associations and UK building or friendly societies.
