I am the current chair of East Suffolk Liberal Democrats. I live in Great Glemham, just outside Framlingham.
I want to stand for the Framlingham ward to represent people as fairly as possible. Too often we see money spent on projects that are not green enough, or which favour sectors of the community which are already getting by but we leave behind people who need better policing, better transport and even basics like affordable homes.
There must be a balance between who benefits and who pays in local government and in recent years this balance has been lacking. We must act to make sure that all citizens matter and are cared for.
I am particularly keen that when we rebuild local businesses in the wake of the pandemic, that we do so as greenly as possible, and encourage the growth of local businesses.
