In 18 years of Army service, Dan Linehan has lived in many places across the country, but has always called Suffolk home. Having recently relocated from the Hertfordshire Bedfordshire border, Dan has settled outside Bury St Edmunds, an hour's drive from his roots in the Waveney valley market towns of Beccles and Bungay.
Dan was attracted to the Lib Dems by their commitment to equality and support for disadvantaged peoples, having previously been a member of the Labour party. He campaigned to be the Lib Dem nomination for Herts Police and Crime Commissioner, and will stand in council elections in West Suffolk this May.
Dan believes in equality and justice, with a real desire to hold the government to account. State school educated he is particularly interested in improving opportunities for disadvantaged people in Suffolk, particularly how the green economy can replace jobs lost in agricultural and fishing communities.
Dan has fought for those below him, speaking out against injustice for his whole professional life and would now like to speak out for the underrepresented on the political stage.
